Why order matters in Physics (and not in Biology)
In Biology you can read Ecology before Genetics and lose nothing. In Physics you cannot — if you study Rotational Motion before Laws of Motion, or Electromagnetic Induction before Current Electricity, you will drown. Concepts stack. The single biggest reason students "hate" Physics is that they studied it out of order and never built the base. Follow the sequence below and each new chapter will feel like the obvious next step.
Step 1 — Mechanics (the foundation of everything)
Start here, always. Mechanics teaches the language of Physics — vectors, forces, energy — that every later unit reuses. Do not skip ahead until this is solid.
Master the order: measurement → motion → the laws that cause motion → energy → rotation → gravity → properties of matter. Units and Measurements first fixes the habit of tracking units and significant figures that saves marks all year.

Step 2 — Heat, Thermodynamics & Waves
These build lightly on mechanics (energy and motion) and are self-contained enough to tackle next. Thermodynamics rewards careful reading of sign conventions; Oscillations and Waves set up Wave Optics later, so do them properly.

Step 3 — Electricity & Magnetism
The second pillar of NEET Physics. It has its own strict internal order: understand charges and fields before potential, current before magnetism, and magnetism before induction and AC. Skipping around here is the classic mistake.

Step 4 — Optics & Modern Physics (finish strong)
End with these. Optics is high-yield and partly independent; Modern Physics (Dual Nature, Atoms, Nuclei, Semiconductors) is formula-light, scoring, and a confidence booster right before the exam. Wave Optics is easier once Waves is done — which is why Waves came earlier.
